Pro Tools MIDI features include sequencing, MIDI editing, scoring and notation, and several great sounding virtual instruments.
MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface and it’s a technology – a digital communication language and an interface type – that has truly changed not only how musicians create music, it’s changed who can make music in the first place.
Since it first hit the market in 1983 MIDI has become a staple of music writing and production. It is something you MUST become familiar with if you are a music maker in any genre – period. Even if MIDI instruments and sequenced events never make it into your completed musical works, MIDI still plays a vital role in the writing and pre-production process.
